1) Now let me tell you the true meaning of community (you live in one do you not?  Is it a real community as I reveal here?), which came from the root of communal.  Its meaning is “come you into unity”, comm-u-nity or “come you into one-ness”—see?  I am sure you realize that just because men may misuse a word does not alter its primal intended use, particularly where that use is both benign and significant. For the Infinite also yearns, and has within Himself a yearning to communicate with the creation which He has made so that in that communication He may bestow the very best gifts upon mankind. But so long as mankind are content to abide in a state of satisfaction with food and shelter, with a reasonable security in the world order, the communal way of life (whether it be Communism or Capitalism or any other form of political ideology) is in itself but a half a loaf, which in no way ought to content mankind with that half a loaf. For it defrauds them of their spiritual bread, the manna that came down from heaven. And it causes religious marts to become as bookstalls where mankind can, for a farthing, peruse the teachings of mankind yet steeped in banal aspects of life and not themselves free thereof./ This is what has actually taken place in the name of Communism. For Communism itself is not solely a communal effort, but it is in fact an activity that caters to the world’s needs but robs the world of its freedom—its freedom to worship God, its freedom to think for itself and to bring into manifestation in the world order those creative and noble efforts which stem from attunement with the divine Presence of life.
